His release from Hartlepool United was only confirmed today but already a number of clubs have joined the race to sign Ritchie Jones.
Jones was among the seven players who left the club earlier today, he spent 2 seasons at Victoria Park and Swindon, Millwall and Colchester have been keeping tabs on the player for some time.
Recently relegated sides Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth are also said to be interested in the former Manchester United man, as well as a number of unnamed Scottish clubs.
Jones made 78 appearances for the club after his arrival in the summer of 2008 but found himself out of favour with Chris Turner for large parts of the past campaign.

I’d like to think he respects the Pools fans and is off die to a fall out with Turner. Hoping he doesn’t celebrate when he scores past us too.
Makes sense that Danny Wilson would be interested. There’s almost certainly going to be a space for him as a couple who play in his position will be released this summer.
