Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson has been named League Two manager of the month for September.
During the month Pools won five, draw one and lost one of the seven fixtures including back to back away drubbings of Peterborough (3-5) and Grimsby Town (1-4).
Pools scored an amazing 16 goals during the month and moved from 21st to 7th place in the League Two table. Wilson’s side also narrowly failed to beat Championship side Hull City in the Coca Cola Cup as the Tigers won on a penalty shoot out after normal and extra time finished without any goals.
