Turner: We Need To Turn The Vic Into A Fortress

Hartlepool United’s Director of Sport Chris Turner has said that Victoria Park needs to become a fortress once more.

With 3 home games in a row starting with a game against Leeds this weekend, Turner says that a good atmosphere in the ground will help the team ”They’re all big games this month.

”As we’ve said many time before we’re playing all the top teams in the league and it’s a very unprecedented fixture list for us in terms of the opposition we’re playing.

”We’ve got to make it a cup-tie atmosphere, be in their faces and do what we’ve done in the last four games.” he told the BBC.

With Pools not having kept a clean sheet in 2 months, Turner wants to cut out defensive mistakes ”But if we put away the silly mistakes and put the chances away we’ll get the right result.

”We’re so close to getting results and making mistakes that no-one can legislate for has affected us getting a point.”
