Chris Turner has dampened hopes that James Brown would be returning to the team in the next couple of weeks.

Brown has been out since a knee injury last November but Turner says he won’t even start full training until next week ”James is a possibility for rejoining training next week.

”But it has got to be a situation where James is 100 per cent ready to come back into the squad because of the problems he’s had.

”We have to make sure that mentally he’s ready and it’s not a case of we’re desperate for a win, let’s put James Brown in.”

He told the Mail that he wouldn’t rush Brown back ”There’ll be none of that because the boy’s career is much more important than one game. He has to come back when he’s physically and mentally ready.

”It takes a long time for these things to heal and to be fit to go back into day-to-day training. He’s very close to that but he’s nowhere near going into the team.”
