Hartlepool United’s Director of Sport Chris Turner has expressed his delight in bringing Cork City striker Denis Behan to the club.
Behan’s move to the club was confirmed this morning and Turner was happy to capture his man ”I’ve been to see Denis play on a number of occasions and I’ve always been impressed.
”Having spoken to a number of top people in Irish football I’m convinced this will be a good signing of a player at a great age and with a lot of experience and quality.”

He explained to the official site that the big striker would bring a different dimension to the side ”He’s a left-footed centre-forward which is quite a rare thing I suppose; he holds the ball up very well, will back in to his defender and has a good eye for goal.
”Denis will handle the physical side more than the other strikers we have and if you want to see the recent record of Irish strikers coming across you only have to look at Reading to see how it can work out.”
