Turner Goes On The Offensive

Chris Turner has today launched another attack against Pools fans, declaring that they ”forget what I’ve done for this club”.

Turner came under fire once more following the 1-1 draw with struggling Gillingham last night but he was adamant that he was the right man for the job and once again said there were many good clubs in this division.

”If people think a change of personnel is just going to make us go from where we are to challenging at the top, they’re wrong.

”It’s not personnel. It’s the quality of clubs in this division that we’re battling against. This club has never had to battle against these clubs week-in, week-out of this sort of quality.”
he told the Mail

He went on to criticise those fans who’d turned against him, saying they should remember his first spell in charge ”All I ask of my team is to go out and play well and they’ve done that in the last three games.

”If things go against you, that’s life. If there’s certain people who don’t like me, that’s life.

”It’s the same people who used to cheer me. They forget what I’ve done for this club. We’re all working hard behind the scenes to get things going.”

I dont think anyone is expecting us to be challenging at the top. I dont recall anyone saying that. Its just that with all these new players and in the light of superb performances against the likes of Swindon and Millwall we were expecting our team to be holding their own, you know winning the odd game that kind of thing. Instead we look like odds on certs for relegation: bereft of ideas, leadership and fight. Over to you Chris.

Right then lets get this game in perspective. We started ok moved the ball around but they should have been 2 up at half time.
Second half what happened couldnt even get 3 passes together and they missed another sitter then we had one off the line.
So a game of 2 halves again, Behan everytime he held the ball up it went back in our half cos he had no support up with him but he never once turned with it to try and make a run. They had 2 big lads at the back won everything cos all we did was pump the long ball forward in the 2nd half and we lost the plot, why have a 6-5 iceman sitting there on the bench ? it didnt work so change it around. So what have the Gillingham done away this season NOTHING so we should be beating teams like that at home or are they as MR TURNER says too many good teams in this div 1 ? and are they one of them ? I havnt got an answer and im afraid mess. Turner & West havnt either by the look of things and the system we are playing. Look at what ive done for the club we hear now !!! its the FUTURE not THE PAST we are looking too and not a system that doesnt work. One last word is BOYD fit or is he just lazy ? IM STILL TRYING TO KEEP THE FAITH
