Should Pools Bring New Players In On Loan?

The transfer window closed with Pools adding just one new face to their squad but with the loan window set to open, should Pools bring in another player?

Joe Gamble’s move from Cork was the only highlight of a quiet transfer window. Andy Monkhouse was linked with a move to Brighton but that was quickly scuppered by Gus Poyet.

So, should Pools bring someone in on loan? Pools strikers haven’t scored a goal from open play since the defeat to Leeds on Boxing Day and there are arguments to bring in a new forward.

Darryl Duffy made the move to Carlisle on loan while Daniel Nardiello made a loan switch to Bury at the end of last year, both former loanees who no doubt could have helped Pools until the return of James Brown.

So should Pools make a move? You can vote in our latest on site poll and have your say in our forums or leave your thoughts in the comment section below. To register on the site simply click here and follow the simple instructions.

I definitely think we could do a lot worse than bring Nards back – hard trier, combative and scores a few as well. All qualities that seem to be a bit lacking in the current forward line…

Lennon might struggle to get back in the Spurs team due to the current form of Bentley. May be worth a punt when he is fit as he needs games for his World Cup place. If he does get in the perhaps Bentley himself, who seems to prosper at smaller clubs when the lime-light is on him. Its worth a thought and perhaps the board should concider the ambitions of us supporters rather than the Northern League ambition of Turner.
