Weekend Overview:

Norwich City came from behind to beat Hartlepool 2-1, while Leeds saw off fellow promotion hopefuls Colchester 2-0 at Elland Road.

Those victories carried extra bearing after Charlton were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly Tranmere at The Valley. Steve Morison’s 11th goal of the season sent Millwall on their way to a 1-0 victory over Brighton on the south coast.

Swindon’s charge towards the automatic places was halted however, after they threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 at struggling Southend.

On-loan Nathan Ecclestone scored his first senior goal as Huddersfield remain just outside the play-off places following a 1-0 away win at Yeovil. MK Dons remain one-place behind the Terriers after they squandered a 1-0 lead to draw 1-1 at home to Exeter.

Southampton also maintained their outside hopes of a play-off place with a 2-0 win over rock-bottom Stockport at St Mary’s. At the bottom end of the table, Wycombe did their survival hopes no harm with a dramatic 3-2 away victory against Bristol Rovers.

Mid-week Overview:

Ten-man Walsall survived heavy Charlton pressure for a well-earned point in a 1-1 draw at the Banks’s Stadium.

Kayode Odejayi netted a late winner as Colchester came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Carlisle. In-from Leyton Orient thrashed Bristol Rovers 5-0 to continue their climb away from the drop zone.
