Russ Green Urges Missing Fans To Come Back

Hartlepool United chief executive Russ Green has asked fans to support the side after Pools registered their lowest league crowd in 9 years.

Pools game against Oldham on Saturday saw just 2,634 fans attend and Green wants an improvement ”We’re aware that our crowds have declined and we want to do something to stop that.

”Obviously, the economic situation has not helped and people can’t always afford to come to games, but hopefully we can attract as many as possible back to The Vic.”

He admitted there was a lack of atmosphere at the ground and the club were working on improving this ”In the past it’s been a fact that visiting teams have been intimidated by a visit to The Vic and we want to get back to that type of atmosphere.

”There have already been a number of ideas discussed within the club and we will continue to work on things in the coming weeks.” he told the official site.
