Turner Prepared To Stick With Clark and Cherel

Chris Turner has said he’s happy to stick with defenders Ben Clark and Julian Cherel for the trip to Charlton this weekend.

The defenders played together in the win over Oldham and with Gary Liddle and Sam Collins both likely to miss the game they will remain in the side ”Gary might have a chance for Charlton and will certainly be available for MK Dons the following week. But Sam is having an injection today on his Achilles.

”So it is more than likely that it will be Ben and Julian again at Charlton.” he told the Mail.

With Peter Hartley suspended Steve Haslam will come back into the side but Turner admits losing Hartley is a blow ”Our left-back will be missing for three games and the centre halves for two weeks and it is not an easy game next Saturday.

”Peter has got to learn from that, it was just a bit of naivety.”
