Ritchie Jones Set To Make Oldham Switch

Former Hartlepool midfielder Ritchie Jones is set to sign for League One rivals Oldham Athletic, says to the player’s agent.

Jones left Victoria Park after a 2-year stay at the end of last season and had been attracting interest from clubs in all 3 divisions of the Football League.

Agent Peter Morrison represents Jones and he told Sky Sports that his client has decided to join the Latics to work with new boss Paul Dickov.

”It was Oldham’s ambition and vision that won the day as Ritchie had a number of options. As soon at Ritchie talked with them, it did not take long for him to agree to the move.

”The enthusiasm of Paul Dickov and his assistant Gerry Taggart was fantastic. They are committed to the cause at Oldham and have some big plans.”
