Hartlepool United remain at the top of the League Two table thanks to Saturday’s 1-0 win over Torquay United. Pools won the game with a single Ritchie Humphreys goal in the 64th minute.

Second place Walsall looked to be continuing their terrible run of form when they conceded a 22 minutes goal at home to Barnet, however the Saddlers pulled themselves together and ran out 4-1 winners with two goals from loan signing Kevin Harper.

Swindon Town moved into third position with a 1-0 win over Chester City, Jack Smith scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot on 9 minutes. Lincoln occupy fourth place after being pegged back to a 2-2 draw away at Accrington Stanley. The Imps twice took the lead but a 73rd minute goal from Paul Mullen saw the points shared.

Martin Allens MK Dons had looked set to collect all three points at Notts County, but a 90th minute goal from Stephen Hunt saw the Dons back to the Hockey stadium disappointed.

So Pools remain three points clear at the top but perhaps more importantly we are now seven points clear of fourth place Lincoln City. Next up is a home game with Hereford United next Saturday.

Well done Pools, have a cracking weekend Poolies.
