Danny Wilson has made his second signing of the day after signing former Doncaster keeper Jan Budtz

The 6’1′ keeper has spent the last two seasons at Doncaster Rovers and has made 24 appearences for Donny. Last year he joined Wolves in an emercency loan deal where he made 4 appearences.

He was released by Rovers after he fell to third choice in the pecking order. The Danes biggest achievement at Doncaster was when he came on as a sub during the Carling Cup match with Manchester City in September 2005. The match went to penalties and Jan saved two of the three taken by Manchester City. Doncaster won the shootout.

This guy is very much in the Dimi mould but it seems a little worrying that he was surplus to requirements at the Keepmoat Stadium, this also confirms that we’re unlikely to see Jim Provett pull on the Hartlepool shirt again.
