Hartlepool United now lead the way in their pursuit of former loanee Darryl Duffy.
Pools had already had an official bid of £150,000 for the Hull striker turned down but Danny Wilson has made one final attempt to get his man. Duffy was close to signing for Swansea last week but there is still negotiations over his transfer fee between Hull and the Swans and Pools have pounced on this opportunity.
Swansea City Chairman Huw Jenkins admitted to Sky Sports ‘The Hull chairman has confirmed to me that Hartlepool have come forward and that obviously means we will have a battle on our hands if we are to sign Darryl.
He expects that the transfer saga will be complete soon though ‘One way or another, we expect things to be sorted out by the middle of next week.’
Its good to see Pools still fighting for a big name player, we know IOR are a great asset to the club and this surely proves it to any doubters.

Would be a cracking signing for you!
I dont think you are favourites at all both clubs have tabled an offer and are both equally odds on to sign him. Given the choice of club he would come to Swansea.
he’s in talks with swans now after we agreed a fee.
