Hartlepool have taken Sunderland striker Roy O’Donovan on trial.
Irishman O’Donovan has been unable to break into the Black Cats first team during his spell on Wearside and, with his contract due to end this summer, is on the lookout for a potential new club.
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has allowed the player to spend time at Victoria Park on trial with the possibility of a loan move if Chris Turner is impressed by the player.
