Former Hartlepool United star Mark Tinkler has signed for non league side Whitby Town.
Tinkler was released by Scottish side Livingston last month after making 19 appearances. He left Pools last summer after playing 211 games between 2000 and 2007, scoring 34 goals.
It is thought Tinkler will become part of the coaching set up with at Northern Premier League side as he looks to move into coaching after he retires.
Tinks was part of the Pools side who beat Whitby Town 4-0 in an FA Cup first round tie back in 2003.
