Life’s A Beech

Another of those with previous with Pools is being spoken about as a potential new manager at the Vic with our former midfielder Chris Beech being connected, playing links alone must be doing this.

For Beech read Paul Murray, or even Coops, neither had managerial experience and neither, certainly Murray, were really given much time but it wasn’t looking as though things would turn around under either? Murray surely deserved a few weeks more though.

I can’t see any reason to suggest that Beech would manage any better?

Rochdale manager Keith Hill, when Beech is assistant manager to him, has said that he wouldn’t stand in Beech’s way if he wanted the job but has questioned what plan we have at the Vic so why Beech would want to leave his role at Spotland for the uncertainty with us.

Hill has a point!

Beech, or Sam Collins for that matter who is again in caretaker charge, aren’t really the answer are they as we need someone with something of a proven track record and experience. Murray and Willie Donachie theoretically seemed a good pairing but we need the next Pools manager to be the experienced one, perhaps with a younger man alongside him.
