Former Tranmere, Rotherham and Oldham, among others, manager Ronnie Moore has become the latest name linked with the managers job at the Vic.

Moore’s had his brushes with controversy, and hasn’t always had success with his clubs, but he’s been in the game for a long old time and has the level of experience that we could be looking at so would fall into the sort of category for the next manager I feel Pools need.

Sacked by Tranmere eight months ago for breaking betting role, the Daily Mail reports that he’s put a £1 bet on a double for Tranmere and Manchester United to win that made him a mammoth £3.93 so you have to think that there’s a little bit more than meets the eye on that one.

If the Daily Mail is right and Moore’s a candidate for the managers job to replace Paul Murray, who the report also says offered to help fund the arrival of further players to turn things around out of is own pocket, then I don’t think we could be too disappointed if he arrived.

Brian Laws, the fans’ favourite on here it seems, is also in the frame so he would be another good option with them having the level of experience we could do with looking to employ.
