Trialist Evan Horwoood looks set to be offered a contract with Hartlepool after impressing Chris Turner in training.
Horwood will travel to Holland with the squad next week and Turner has been impressed with him so far ”Evan looks sure to be coming out with us to Holland.
”We want to see players playing games against other opposition. We need to see him in a game situation. He has done very well during training with us.” he told the Mail.
It is now thought that if Horwood continues to impress he will be offered a contract for the coming season.

It will be great if he IS good enough. There is nothing better than a homegrown player in your team.
Fingers crossed. If he’s up to the job then it’ll be good to have an out-and-out left-back with experience of playing at this level on the books again.
