Hartlepool United will take a look at Dutch striker Kevin Bobson after handing the player a trial spell with the club.

29-year-old Bobson was released by RB Salzburg at the start of 2009 and, after a brief spell at Luxembourg second division side FC Wiltz 71, has been looking for a new club ever since.

Australian side Newcastle Jets had been keen to sign Bobson but his wage demands proved too much for the A-League side.

He has also played for Ajax, Espanyol and Willem II during his career and will join up with Pools when they travel to his native Holland next week.
