Hartlepool United defender Peter Hartley wants another packed house at Victoria Park as Pools face Huddersfield.

Pools recorded their highest attendance of the season when Leeds came to town 2 weeks ago and Hartley wants the same again ”It was absolutely brilliant against Leeds. It’s the best I’ve felt this season, playing on the pitch with the fans behind you.

”It feels like an extra man. I think it showed with the players because that’s probably the best moment we’ve had this season at Victoria Park, scoring a late goal.”

Huddersfield have sold their full away allocation and with the return of the singing section Hartley thinks it will be a big boost to the side.

”If we have an atmosphere like we did against Leeds, it can only help us. The fans that do turn up put their heart and souls into the match.

”When there’s 5,000 or 6,000, there’s no better feeling. Because it’s a small ground, it feels like the Stadium of Light or somewhere like that with the atmosphere it generates.”
he told the Mail.

Its a shame to think that a few years ago there would be over 5,000 for a tuesday night game against Wycombe!!!! Now we celebrate this as the biggest crowd of the season. It would be great to get back to them kind of levels. For some reason I am actually looking forward to the Millwall game, as there will at least be a big crowd!!!
