Turner Pleased To Take Closer Look At O’Donovan

Chris Turner has welcomed striker Roy O’Donovan to the club after he joined on trial from Sunderland.

O’Donovan has struggled to break into the Sunderland side and Turner was pleased to have a closer look at the player ”We’ve watched him quite a few times in the Reserves and also had discussions about him with Steve (Bruce) and Eric Black.”

Irishman O’Donovan scored against Pools in a reserves fixture in December but Turner happy to take the player on trial ”They made it be known he could be available for us and we’ve brought him in to training to see how it goes.

”We’ll see what happens from here and just take it one step at the time.” he told the official site.
