Hartlepool United will play a mixture of reserves, trialists and youth team players for their final pre-season friendly at Horden Colliery Welfare tonight.

A trialist-heavy Pools side beat Garforth convincingly on Monday night and Chris Turner will take a further look at some of the players again tonight including Jeremy Bossekota and Joe Lamplough.

Horden boss Simon Corbett was delighted to be facing Pools and hopes it will provide a much needed financial boost to the club ”To play Hartlepool is a great experience for the lads. But it is just as important for commercial reasons as football ones.

”If we could get large businesses behind us, I would take us to the Conference if we could. The Northern League is where we are financially at the moment – you are taking major sponsorship to make the step up to the Unibond.”
he told the Peterlee Mail.

Pools side to play tonight: Mathias Esterhazy, Jeremy Bossekota, Dan Smith, Jonny Rowell, Ross Harvey, Niall McArdle, Jordan Richards, Alan Power, Billy Greulich, Matty Tymon, Joe Lamplough.

Subs: Jack Sharples, Anthony Wakefield, Callum Hassan, Willy Dyer, Mark Cook.
