Gold Coast United’s manager Miron Bleiberg has launched a stunning attack on Hartlepool United caretaker boss Chris Turner.

The row began after Turner said that Joel Porter was ‘selling himself short’ by making a move back to Australia.

He said that quality of the A-League was too poor for a player like Porter but manager Bleiberg has hit back. Bleiberg said that he was unhappy with Turner’s behaviour and that the A-League was better than League One.

”I can understand that Chris Turner is disappointed that a player of Joel’s quality and calibre is leaving but I’m not happy that he has expressed his frustration at our expense.

”I’ve been in England and watched League One games and there’s no doubt in my mind that the A-League is a higher, not lower level.

”The amount of media attention he’s attracted in the last six months when it became clear he would sign for us is more than he’s received in his whole six years in England.”

The outspoken boss went on to criticise Turner further and added that Porter was joining a better club ”The comments made by Chris Turner show a lack of respect, and are just stupid and betray a lack of experience.

”Joel is definitely going up in the world, not down. Coming back is definitely a step forward for Joel.”

It is not “stunning.” Think about it: if you read Miron Bleiberg’s comments, they make perfect snse. Of course Turner is trying to proect his assests, but I suspect the Oz guy is right.

Im sorry but I have to question the overall quality of that league as if Robbie Fowler was signed up to play over there in his current state that shows u how bad it is. Joel is a championship standard player and most championship clubs would probably own that league so Turner was probably right of a sort.
