Duo Depart

The anticipated exit from the Vic of Scott Harrison and Charlie Wyke was confirmed after the defeat to York on Saturday.

Both returned for further spells this season but they could have played their last games for us, they’ve certainly played their last games for us this side of Christmas, but Paul Murray’s told the official website that he’s keeping his mind open about bringing them back to the Vic after Christmas if possible?

‘I’d like to thank both Sunderland and Middlesbrough for their help in loaning us Scott and Charlie.

‘It’s been great having them around the Club and I would certainly be interested in bringing them back here if the opportunity arose in the future.’

The maximum 93 days allowed emergency loans ended after the York defeat so defender Harrison has returned to Sunderland with Wyke, who missed the defeat due to a knee injury, going back to Middlesbrough.

I’m not sure that we’ll see either back at the Vic again for a ‘third time lucky’ spell, but you can never say never!
