Hartlepool United striker Adam Boyd has talked about his time away from the club for the first time.
Boyd left Pools for Luton Town 3 years ago but didn’t have the best of times at Kennilworth Road ”It never took off for me at Luton like I really wanted it to – a little bit down to me and I think I should have been given more chances.
”I definitely don’t regret leaving though because I had three great years in London.” he told the Hartlepool Mail.
He then moved to Leyton Orient where he spent 2 far more productive years ”I scored 17 the first year at Orient which should have been low 20s. With all respect, we didn’t really create many chances and the goals I got I created myself.
”The second year I missed the last three months of the season and came out with 12 which wasn’t too bad. Obviously I’ll be hoping to do a lot better next season.”
