Hartlepool United defender Ben Clark could be face a four match ban after being dismissed in the reserves fixture with Middlesbrough yesterday.

Clark was dismissed for a rash challenge on Boro midfielder Kieran Edwards and will face at least a 2 game suspension period.

If the referee decides the tackle was violent conduct then the ban will be increased to four games in total.

Clark was sent off for the first team at Southend last year, his third red card during his time at Victoria Park.

It’s just not good enough, we need passion, but alos for players to think before they act. When he came on a Southend you coud see straight away that he was going to get into trouble. He was booked early and just gave the impression of being out of control. Its a shame because he has the potential and should be piushing for a 1st team place. This is the last thing he or the club needs.
