Hartlepool United defender Neil Austin has admitted the team need to cut out the defensive mistakes and start keeping clean sheets.

Pools haven’t kept a clean sheet since the win over Millwall on December 5th and Austin admits that Pools need to stop conceding ”We haven’t had a clean sheet in a while.

”I think a month ago we were second in the clean sheet league. We’ll have dropped down a bit now. I think it’s just minor things and little mistakes we need to cut out.”

He told the Mail that conceding unnecessary goals is hampering Pools form ”We started the season well away from home with plenty of clean sheets. It’s important we start getting some more. If you don’t get them, then you’re not going to win games.”

    Did Turner Write this?

No – if Turner had written it then it would all be down to bad luck and disloyal supporters
