Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson will today aim to crush the Manager of the Month curse as Pools play Hereford United.
Wilson was named League Two manager of the month on Thursday with Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara saying:
Danny Wilson has already won one manager of the month award this season back in September so to win a second in such a short space of time underlines his achievement at Hartlepool. His side are unbeaten in the league since November and this superb run now sees them as the team to catch at the top of League 2.’
Wilson’s side go into the game on the back of an 18 game unbeaten run which has seen 16 wins and just 2 draws. Wilson beat Darlo’s Dave Penney and Stockport County boss Jim Gannon to the February awarded after winning all five games during the month including the stunning wins over promotion rivals Swindon Town and Walsall.
