Mick Wadsworth wants Hartlepool to record successive wins in the next four days as they begin to conclude their recent hectic schedule starting with financial stricken Plymouth.

The Pilgrims have been plunged into turmoil in recent weeks in the wake of a financial disaster – spearheaded by the seemingly cursed Peter Risdale. But there off field problems haven’t hampered their on-field results, Peter Reid’s men unbeaten since being dropped to the bottom of the league – a position they went one better on in midweek. And ahead of today’s tough game Mick Wadsworth is demanding a maximum return.

”We’ve got nearly a quarter of the season left. You think the end is in sight because two months from now the season is over, unless you hit the play-offs.” He explained to the Journal.

Pools are 11 points shy of the play-off places and despite occurring hiccups in their daring pursuit Wadsworth remains adamant that if Pools hit 52 points they can mount a late challenge.”In terms of games, there are still 11 left and that`s almost a quarter of the season, so there`s a fantastic amount to play for.”

”If we can win today and on Tuesday, I think we might be pleasantly surprised about where we sit and how far away from that top end of the table.”
