It’s time for another Vital Hartlepool Award and today we take a look at the contest for Young Player Of The Season.
After a few seasons where few youth team players made the step up to first team action, the 2010/11 campaign saw several youngsters involved in the first team squad.
Paul Johnson, Darren Holden and Josh Rowbotham all made appearances in the first team while Callum Hassan and several others made the step up to reserve team football.
This was a close contest with many players nominated but it is Darren Holden who scoops this award with over 40% of the vote
