Another batch of fans question have been put to Chris Turner on the official site. Here we round up all the key points.

– Turner was unhappy with the referees performance in the defeat against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night. In particular for a foul on Denis Behan.

– Turner defended his decision to leave his substitutions in the game so late and said that the reason James Brown was left on was because Adam Boyd ‘never looked like scoring’ against Charlton.

– He later adds that he believes Boyd will regain the form of his earlier spell a the club.

– He realises the need to bring in a holding midfielder but ‘we can’t keep bringing more and more players in’. Willie Boland is no closer to fitness.

– Formations can be altered depending on opponent and whether the game is home or away. 4-5-1 or even 3 5-2 could be used at some stage.

– When quizzed about signing a left back, he repeats the fact that we can’t keep signing player after player and that both Neil Austin and Peter Hartley can play at left back.

– He is eager to send fringe players out on loan to gain match fitness rather than playing in the reserve leagues.

– A question asks how many coaches are actually present for training each day, Turner doesn’t answer this directly but says that Colin West is there every day and that he joins him to take training regularly.

– He would like to see a structure at the club where people are promoted from within, he says that Colin West could be perhaps promoted to manager in the future.

I was rather disappointed that my rather eloquent questions were attributed to someone called Craig Campbell, who is definitely not me – although the P.S. about the Millhouse moaners was not mine either. I asked about the number of coaches since it had been a matter of debate here. The bit about Brian Clough and motivation will be familiar to anyone who takes any notice of my more serious posts.
