Do you thing we?ve had a bad start to the season? Spare a thought for fans of fellow League One side Rotherham United. After being relegated from the Championship last season finishing the campaign rock bottom with just 29 points and 5 wins all season, the Millers are currently sitting third bottom of League One looking a second consecutive relegation straight in the eye, oh and they?ve just sacked boss Mick Harford!

It?s now 17 homes games without a win and Harford has paid the ultimate price, his job. Harford said:-

‘It was my first managerial post and it was a job that I really cherished. I so much wanted to get it right. It was hurting to lose so often and it was becoming more painful after every defeat.

People asked if I was considering my position but I said I would not resign, I’m not a quitter. But I’m not stupid and managers are judged on results and if you’re not getting them and you’re getting beaten every week, then the manager gets the sack.’

After Saturday?s 2-1 win over Bournemouth at Victoria Park Pools are currently sitting in 12th place in League One, yet the calls for Martin Scott?s head are still being repeated week in week out, there?s always somebody worse off than yourself though!

One final thought, will Martin Scott actually be a target for the vacant Rotherham job? Ex Miller Mr Scott you know….
