Hartlepool United boss Paul Stephenson paid tribute to his strikers after Friday nights stunning 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town at Victoria Park, Stephenson told Pools official website:-
‘The first half was a little nervy even though we took the lead because we were playing a bit deep. I think in the second half we never really looked like conceding though, which was really good and we could have scored another couple ourselves
The goals were magnificent. We’ve been doing lots of shooting in training and it was evident in our play tonight.’
Pools now sit back and see what the Saturday results do to our league postion and then we prepare for Tuesday nights rearranged away game with Scunthorpe United.

You can jump over a few sides with another win….all is not lost and goal difference is not the worst.
