The league two season is moving into it’s closing months now and while Hartlepool should, baring a calamitous run of results, be safe from relegation now they can’t take anything for granted but an unlikely late play-off surge seems off the table that being said it’s only a five-point gap.

Hartlepool are back on home soil, Victoria Park, on Saturday afternoon as they take on Bristol Rovers.

Injury will deny Colin Cooper the services of full backs Neil Austin (toe) and Michael Duckworth (shin) once again. More positively though Cooper doesn’t have any other injury or suspension concerns to contend with.

Victory at Victoria Park would be a third in succession at home.
