It’s quickly back into league two action for Hartlepool having played, but also lost, at the weekend.

Hartlepool are off to play Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night, who apparently play at the Storefirst.com stadium probably better known as the Crown Ground.

The weekend defeat to Wycombe Wanderers didn’t come at the cost of any new injury problems or suspensions for Colin Cooper, however he’ll still be without a couple of players though.

Neil Austin is out again with his toe problem and Michael Duckworth continues to miss out with a leg injury.

The Hartlepool boss is looking for a reaction to the weekend defeat but knows that Accrington, like Wycombe before them, will be up for the fight as they need the points to keep clear of relegation trouble.

Ahead of the game Cooper told BBC Tees: ‘You get teams fighting for the lives at this point of the season and Accrington will be just like Wycombe were on Saturday.

‘We need to puff our chests out more because we’re inviting pressure on.

‘I cannot fault the work ethic of the boys, but if we invite the pressure then more balls get thrown into the box.

‘When you let that happen, there’s a good chance your opponent will eventually score.’
