It’s not been the start to the season that Hartlepool would have wanted, but a game at Victoria Park could get us up and running?

Hartlepool welcome Bury to Victoria Park on Saturday afternoon looking to bounce back from league two defeat last weekend and a midweek league cup mauling at Port Vale.

Stuart Parnaby (foot injury) is the only main doubt that Colin Cooper has going into this game with Michael Woods, Matthew Bates and Ryan Brobbel set for home debuts.

Tommy Miller could make a second debut after he resigned in the summer.

Bury could include a very familiar face a our former striker James Poole signed for Bury last week having failed to get a deal elsewhere, including an attempt to go to Australia having parted company with Hartlepool this summer. Bury ‘keeper Shwan Jalal (groin) is doubtful with Rob Lainton ready to step in.

Will some first points of the season be registered on Saturday?
