Sweeney Pleased To Go Dutch Again

Hartlepool United midfielder Antony Sweeney says that the pre-season camp in the Netherlands is ideal preparation for the new campaign.

Pools will travel to Holland in July and train at the KNVB training camp, something Sweeney is pleased with ”It’s a really good training base.

”It is a training camp, not a holiday camp, so you don’t expect anything less. For what you go for, it is ideal. You don’t get any distractions and you are all together which helps you throughout the season.”

With new players joining over the summer, Sweeney told the Mail it is an ideal place for team bonding ”Even if there are only one or two new players by then, you can get to know them.

”You are in close quarters and the lads are in and out of each other’s rooms constantly which helps the new boys to settle in.”
