With another managerial merry-go-round at Hartlepool following the sacking of Paul Murray after only 45 days in charge, Nolberto Solano has been in the press and he says he wouldn’t object to the opportunity of taking over at the club.

Speaking to the Hartlepool Mail solano admitted he would relish the ‘challenge’ of taking on Hartlepool as he is looking for a route into management following his 19 year playing career that saw him hang up is boots at the Vic back in 2012.

‘I want to prove myself. I want to show what I can do as a manager. Hartlepool would be a why not? It’s an opportunity. It’s a really difficult time for the club, but it’s a challenge. Life is a challenge all the time so it would be nice to get at least the opportunity.’

Solano doesn’t have managerial experience so far, but he does have coaching experience having done his badges and spent coaching sides in Peru and Canada but the biggest question really with him throwing his name in the hat is, could we afford to take the risk with the position we find ourselves in or do we go for something who’s already got the t-shirt and come through struggles like this successfully before.
