Hartlepool United midfielder Ritchie Jones has warned that the game against Tranmere this weekend will be harder than some people think.

Tranmere sacked John Barnes after a woeful start to the season but caretaker Les Parry lead his side to victory against Brighton on Saturday.

”Obviously John Barnes has just been sacked and they’ve not really got a manager. The caretaker manager will be trying to prove what he’s doing so it’s not going to be an easy game.” Jones admitted.

He told the Mail he was pleased with the performance against Swindon and that Pools are ready to build ”But on our day we’re a really good team and winning at Swindon sets up nicely for next week.

”It spurs us on to get another result against Tranmere, especially after going two games unbeaten. All the lads are as determined as ever to get the three points against Tranmere.”
