Pools Confirm Boland Capture

Hartlepool United have this morning confirmed that former Cardiff City midfielder Willie Boland has joined the club.

The Hartlepool Mail revealed yesterday that Pools boss Danny Wilson has lined up Boland and Middlesborough youngster Gary Liddle as his first signings since becoming Pools boss, this morning Pools have confirmed that Boland has signed a contract to move to Victoria Park.

Boland will train with the first team this morning giving Danny Wilson and Ian Butterworth a chance to assess his fitness ahead of tomorrow’s home game with Torquay United.

Boland has had trials with Swansea City and Grimsby Town since his release from Cardiff, but Wilson has moved quickly to secure the services of the battling midfielder.
