Surgery on a patella tendon injury means that Stuart Parnaby isn’t going to play for Hartlepool again this season, perhaps we’ll not see him at the Vic again?

In simple terms Parnaby has been ruled out by a serious knee injury.

The former Middlesbrough defender has only managed to make five appearances for us since his signing by former manager Coops in the summer but Paul Murray will now know that he’ll not be able to call upon him again this season as he’ll be out for nine months following this surgery.

It’s a shame for Parnaby and obviously disappointing for us, but as much as it’s always easy to look back with hindsight he’s had something of a history with injuries so it isn’t too much of a surprise but we’ll all wish him well in his recovery nevertheless.
