Newcastle Striker Campbell Signed

Hartlepool have made a much needed signing with Newcastle United striker Adam Campbell coming in on a one month loan deal.

A key area that Paul Murray was keen to strengthen was attack, with Charlie Wyke set to return to Middlesbrough at the end of his loan spell after the York City game this weekend at the Vic we would have been left even shorter.

Campbell’s only had limited involvement with Newcastle but the 19 year old has played in the Europa League and a couple of times in the Premier League with him also send out on loan to clubs several times.

I’ve seen little glimpses of him so if he can stay fit, injuries are something he’s had trouble with, and we create him the chances I’m sure he’ll take them so I welcome this arrival and hope that it has the desired effect as goals win games.

Starting at the Vic this weekend would be nice Adam!
