Former Hartlepool United manager Neale Cooper has left his job as manager of Scottish Second Division side Peterhead.

Cooper had led the Blue Toon to the play-offs last season but a poor run of form has seen his slide slip to the bottom of the league, and now Cooper has left the club by mutual consent.

The 47-year-old famously helped Pools reach the League One play-offs twice in successive seasons in 2004 and 2005 and had been joined the Balmoor club in 2006 as assistant manager before taking over the reigns as boss in 2008.
