Hartlepool United’s on loan striker Daniel Nardiello has said he’s the man to fire Pools to League One safety.

After a loan spell hit by suspensions and injury Nardiello bagged his first goal for Pools against Scunthorpe on Monday.

”It’s been pretty much all season with my injuries. I came here to get some games and then I got sent off, then injured so it’s been a nightmare season.”

”This is the best I’ve felt all season to be honest. The training has been good and I feel a lot fitter and sharper than when I first came here.”
he admitted to the Mail.

He later went on to say that he hopes he can get on the scoresheet again to boost Pools survival hopes ”Hopefully after Monday’s goal I can get a start this week and score again.

”It’s frustrating that the season is coming to an end but if I could finish on a high, that would be brilliant.”

”I’ll take what I can now and then try to kick on next season wherever I am. I’ve got three games left and I’m going to give my all.”
