Monkhouse Ban Extended

Pools will now be without winger Andy Monkhouse for the first 4 games of the 2007/08 season after the FA charged him with violent conduct.

Monkhouse was already banned for 3 matches after a awful challenge in the Rochdale v Hartlepool match in April. In a personal hearing he pleaded guilty to breach of FA rule E3.

No news yet on the punishment for Rochdale player John Doolan who’s own challenge, seconds after Monky’s, was far worse and could’ve seen a serious injury to a key player.
