Hartlepool United defender Michael Nelson has just 24 hours to decide whether his future lies away from Victoria Park.
Nelson has had 4 weeks since his initial contract offer from the club to decide whether to remain at Pools, but that now looks very unlikely.
A host of League One clubs including Brighton, Colchester, Norwich, Huddersfield, Southend and Leeds have been linked to the big central defender along with Championship side Scunthorpe.

Nelson’s agent Clive Hart said last month that it was likely that he’d be switching clubs this summer ”He will probably be moving on. We are still talking to a few clubs at the moment.”
While it could still take another couple of weeks to finalise a move elsewhere, Pools will know for certain if he’s remaining with the club by tomorrow.
