With all playing 46 League Two games in the 2016/17 season, the race for the League Two Golden Boot is over for this year.
With goalscoring so far this season, the Golden Boot race was largely a two player race with John Akinde (Barnet) and John Marquis (Doncaster Rovers) clear of the rest of the pack as the final fixtures came round.
Danny Hylton (Luton Town), Matthew Godden (Stevenage), James Collins (Shrewsbury Town) and Omar Bogle (Grimsby Town) were all in the hunt though until they dropped off in the final matches.
So we see the prize shared between Barnet’s John Akinde and Doncaster’s John Marquis as both end the campaign tied on 26 goals.
It must be said the BBC statistics have Marquis ahead with a return of a goal every 156 minutes compared with Akinde’s goal every 159 minutes.
Limited to those with 13 or more strikes so far this campaign, here’s how the table currently sits.
