Former player of the season Jim Provett has rejected a new deal at Victoria Park and is now in discussions with several League Two clubs.
Provett was already linked with Grimsby Town but is now close to finalising a deal with Bury where he will link up with former Pools boss Martin Scott.
The Trimdon born keeper will leave the club after Danny Wilson brought in Jan Budtz and Arran Lee-Barrett to fight for the #1 shirt next season.
