James Poole Wins Praise From Man City Exec

Manchester City executive Brian Marwood has praised the talents of striker James Poole.

Poole has scored 3 goals so far this season and Marwood, now an executive at the Etihad Stadium, was delighted with his start at Hartlepool.

”James Poole is a very bright lad with loads of potential and wants to do well. He went out on loan last season to Hartlepool and Mick (Wadsworth) was always on the phone afterwards asking for first refusal.

”It was a difficult decision to let him go – but with so much money being spent on players he was forever being pushed back in the order.”

He told the Echo that he hoped to see more from the striker, and that he continues to track his progress at Victoria Park.

”He deserved the break and a fresh start. Nothing would give me greater pleasure that to see him be hugely successful.

”I look out for his reports and monitor his progress on the Football League show – already he has scored some fantastic goals this season, I will continue to watch his career with great interest – he is a lovely lad and I only wish him well for himself, Mick and Hartlepool United.”
